Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 August 2026

HarbourBooking is in a pre-launch phase. The only personal data the public site handles is what you type into the waiting-list or contact form, plus the small amount of technical data described below.

  1. Who we are

    HarbourBooking operates harbourbooking.com and decides how the data described here is used. For anything in this policy, write to hello@harbourbooking.com.

    Our registered company details will be published here before the platform launches.

  2. What you give us

    When you join the waiting list or send us a message, we store:

    • your email address, which is the only field we require;
    • the type of visitor you selected (traveller, harbour owner, local business, municipality);
    • your name, organisation and message, if you choose to fill them in;
    • the fact that you ticked the consent box, the language of the page, and which form you used.
  3. What we record automatically

    With each submission we also store a one-way, salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself, along with your browser's user-agent string and the time. The hash cannot be turned back into an IP address. It exists so we can limit each sender to eight submissions per hour and keep the form free of automated abuse.

  4. Why we use it, and on what basis

    We use your details for one purpose: to contact you about HarbourBooking. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. We do not use your details for anything else, and we do not profile you.

    The IP hash and user agent are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the form working and free of abuse.

  5. Analytics

    We use Rybbit, a privacy-focused analytics service hosted at analyticsweb.eu, to count visits and see which pages get read. It is a third-party service and it runs on every public page.

    It stores nothing on your device, sets no cookies, and does not follow you across other websites or build a profile of you.

  6. Who else can see it

    Form submissions are stored in a database on a server we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH inside the EU. Our analytics provider receives the technical request data described in clause 05.

    That is the complete list. We do not sell your data, we do not trade it, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their own purposes.

  7. How long we keep it

    We keep waiting-list and contact entries until the platform launches and you have had the chance to become a user, or until you ask us to delete yours, whichever comes first. If the project does not launch, we delete the list.

  8. Your rights

    You can ask us at any time to:

    • show you what we hold about you, or send it to you in a portable format;
    • correct it, if something is wrong;
    • delete it, or restrict what we do with it;
    • stop using it, by withdrawing the consent you gave on the form.

    Withdrawing consent stops all future contact, and we delete your entry on request. One email to hello@harbourbooking.com is enough for any of these, and there is nothing to justify or explain.

    You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.

  9. Cookies

    The public site sets no cookies at all. The cookie policy explains what is stored on your device instead and how to change it.
